Wheel Balancing and Alignment Job in Kasargod

Kasargod, Kerala Full Time Date: 03 May 2024

Job description

Initial Inspection: Begin by inspecting the vehicle's wheels, tires, and suspension components to assess their condition. Look for signs of uneven tire wear, damage, or misalignment that may indicate the need for balancing or alignment. Wheel Balancing: Use a wheel balancing machine to check the balance of each wheel and tire assembly. Attach wheel weights to the rim as needed to counterbalance any uneven weight distribution. Ensure that each wheel spins smoothly without vibrations. Alignment Check: Perform a wheel alignment check to assess the angles of the wheels relative to each other and to the vehicle's frame. Use alignment equipment to measure camber, caster, and toe angles and compare them to manufacturer specifications. Adjustment: If necessary, make adjustments to the wheel alignment angles to bring them within the recommended range. This may involve adjusting suspension components such as tie rods, control arms, or camber bolts to correct alignment deviations. Tire Rotation: Recommend tire rotation to ensure even wear and extend tire life. Rotate tires according to manufacturer recommendations or based on observed wear patterns to promote uniform tread wear and improve handling. Test Drive: Conduct a test drive to evaluate the vehicle's handling and steering response after balancing and alignment procedures. Listen for abnormal noises, feel for vibrations, and assess steering stability to confirm improvements. Customer Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to the customer in a clear and professional manner. Explain the importance of wheel balancing and alignment for vehicle safety, performance, and tire longevity. Provide cost estimates and options for additional services if needed. Documentation: Document all wheel balancing and alignment procedures performed, including before-and-after measurements, adjustments made, and any additional services provided. Maintain accurate records for future reference and customer records. Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with the wheel balancing and alignment services provided. Address any concerns or questions they may have and offer assistance or further recommendations as needed. Continued Education: Stay updated on the latest wheel balancing and alignment techniques, equipment, and industry best practices through training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Continuously improve your skills and knowledge to provide the best possible service to customers.
