Job description

Patrolling: Conducting regular patrols of the nursing faculty premises, including buildings, parking lots, and outdoor areas, to detect and deter suspicious activities, unauthorized individuals, or safety hazards. Monitoring Surveillance Systems: Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any security breaches, unauthorized access, or safety concerns, and responding promptly to incidents as needed. Access Control: Controlling access to the nursing faculty buildings and facilities by verifying the identity of individuals, checking credentials, and ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations, such as fires, medical emergencies, or security threats, by alerting the appropriate authorities, assisting with evacuation procedures, and providing support to faculty, students, and staff as needed. Reporting Incidents: Reporting any security incidents, safety hazards, or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities or supervisors, and documenting incidents in accordance with established procedures. Assisting with Lockdown Procedures: Assisting with implementing lockdown procedures in the event of security threats or emergencies, including securing doors, directing individuals to safe locations, and providing support to law enforcement or emergency responders. Enforcing Rules and Regulations: Enforcing campus rules, regulations, and policies related to security, safety, parking, and access control, and informing individuals of any violations or infractions. Providing Escort Services: Providing escort services to faculty, students, and staff, especially during late hours or in isolated areas, to ensure their safety and security while on campus. Safety Inspections: Conducting routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and lighting to identify and address safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security vulnerabilities. Community Engagement: Building positive relationships with faculty, students, and staff by being approachable, responsive, and visible on campus, and promoting a culture of safety and security within the nursing faculty community.
