Job description

Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter trespassing, theft, vandalism, and other unauthorized activities. Walk around the perimeter, check doors, windows, gates, and other entry points for signs of tampering or security breaches. Monitoring: Keep a watchful eye on surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security devices to detect any suspicious behavior or incidents. Remain vigilant and alert to potential threats or emergencies. Access Control: Control access to the premises by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification, and verifying credentials of visitors, employees, and vehicles. Enforce access policies and procedures to ensure only authorized individuals are allowed on the premises. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and distress calls. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks, protect people and property, and summon emergency services if needed. Maintain composure and follow established protocols in high-stress situations. Reporting: Report any security incidents, breaches, or unusual activities to the appropriate authorities, such as security supervisors, law enforcement, or management. Document incidents accurately and thoroughly in incident reports, logs, or communication systems. Customer Service: Provide assistance and support to residents, tenants, visitors, or employees as needed. Offer directions, information, or assistance in emergencies and act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries or concerns. Property Checks: Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify and address security vulnerabilities, hazards, or maintenance issues. Check for unlocked doors or windows, broken fences, malfunctioning lights, and other potential security risks. Safety Awareness: Maintain awareness of safety hazards, fire risks, and environmental concerns on the premises. Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage. Communication: Maintain effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders using radios, phones, or other communication devices. Relay important information, updates, or instructions in a clear and timely manner. Professionalism: Conduct yourself with professionalism, integrity, and courtesy at all times. Represent the organization or property in a positive light and uphold ethical standards in your interactions with others. Training and Development: Participate in training programs, workshops, or refresher courses to enhance your knowledge, skills, and competencies in security practices, emergency response procedures, and customer service. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts, disputes, or disturbances calmly and diplomatically. Use verbal de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and prevent escalation to violence. Seek assistance from law enforcement or other authorities if necessary. Risk Assessment: Assess security risks and vulnerabilities on the premises and make recommendations for improvements or enhancements to security measures. Stay informed about current security threats, trends, and best practices in the industry. Maintaining Order: Maintain order and discipline on the premises by enforcing rules, regulations, and policies. Address disruptive behavior, rule violations, or code infractions in a firm but fair manner.
