Receiving and Unloading: Warehouse operators receive incoming shipments of goods, unload them from delivery trucks or containers, and verify the accuracy of shipments against packing lists or purchase orders. They inspect incoming goods for damage and ensure that they are properly labeled and documented. Inventory Management: Warehouse operators manage inventory by accurately counting, recording, and tracking stock levels of incoming and outgoing goods. They use inventory management systems or manual records to monitor stock movements, update inventory levels, and identify discrepancies or shortages. Storage and Shelving: Warehouse operators organize and store goods in designated storage areas or shelving units within the warehouse. They ensure that goods are stored safely, securely, and in compliance with storage guidelines, such as weight restrictions, temperature requirements, and hazardous material regulations. Order Picking and Packing: Warehouse operators fulfill customer orders by picking items from inventory according to picking lists, packing orders into containers or cartons, and preparing them for shipment. They ensure that orders are accurately picked, packed, and labeled to meet customer requirements. Loading and Shipping: Warehouse operators load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks, containers, or pallets for transportation to customers or other destinations. They ensure that shipments are properly secured, balanced, and loaded according to transportation guidelines and safety regulations. Material Handling Equipment Operation: Warehouse operators operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move goods within the warehouse. They safely maneuver equipment, stack or unstack pallets, and transport goods to designated storage areas or loading docks. Quality Control: Warehouse operators conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure that they meet quality standards and specifications. They inspect goods for defects, damage, or discrepancies and take appropriate actions, such as rejecting or quarantining non-conforming items. Housekeeping and Maintenance: Warehouse operators maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse by sweeping floors, removing debris, and organizing storage areas. They report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors and assist with routine maintenance tasks as needed. Safety Compliance: Warehouse operators adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage within the warehouse.
