Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Taking Orders: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using a notepad or electronic device to record orders. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any special or seasonal offerings, to answer questions and make recommendations to guests. Serving Food and Drinks: Deliver orders to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring that food and beverages are presented attractively and in the correct order. Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner, addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests they may have. Upselling and Promoting: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase sales. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep dining areas clean and tidy, including clearing tables, wiping down surfaces, and resetting tables for the next guests. Handling Payments: Process payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments, and provide receipts to guests. Collaborating with Kitchen Staff: Communicate orders and any special requests to the kitchen staff, and coordinate the timing of food delivery to ensure that meals are served hot and fresh. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other waitstaff, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Problem Solving: Address any issues or complaints from guests promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management if needed to resolve the situation. Attention to Detail: Pay attention to detail in all aspects of service, including order accuracy, table setup, and presentation of food and beverages.
