Taking Orders: Take food and beverage orders from customers, accurately record their preferences, and communicate orders to the kitchen staff or bartenders. Provide recommendations and answer any questions about the menu items. Serving Food and Drinks: Serve food and drinks to customers promptly and accurately, following proper serving etiquette and presentation standards. Ensure that orders are complete and match the customers' requests. Checking on Customers: Check on customers regularly to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals and address any concerns or requests they may have. Offer refills on beverages and inquire about additional needs. Handling Payments: Present bills to customers, process payments accurately, and provide change or process credit card transactions. Thank customers for their patronage and invite them to return. Upselling and Promotions: Promote additional menu items, specials, or desserts to customers to increase sales and enhance their dining experience. Make suggestive selling recommendations based on customers' preferences and interests. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that tables, chairs, and dining areas are clean and well-maintained throughout service. Clear dirty dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining environment. Coordinating with Kitchen and Bar Staff: Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that orders are prepared and served efficiently. Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen to accommodate customer needs. Resolving Issues: Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and diplomacy. Listen attentively to concerns, apologize for any inconvenience, and take appropriate action to rectify the situation. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and support each other as needed.
