Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Order Taking: Taking food and beverage orders from guests and accurately entering them into the restaurant's ordering system. Memorizing specials and menu items to describe them to customers. Table Setting and Preparation: Setting tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware before guests are seated. Ensuring tables are clean and presentable throughout the dining experience. Food and Beverage Delivery: Serving food and beverages to guests promptly and correctly. Ensuring orders are complete and checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction. Upselling and Recommending: Recommending menu items, specials, and beverages based on guest preferences. Upselling additional items or upgrades to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue. Billing and Payment Processing: Presenting bills to guests, processing payments accurately (cash, credit cards, etc.), and handling cash transactions responsibly. Knowledge of Menu: Having a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens. Being able to answer questions and make recommendations based on guest preferences. Team Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination of food and beverage orders. Maintaining Cleanliness: Clearing tables, cleaning and resetting them for the next guests. Ensuring the dining area is clean and organized throughout service. Customer Feedback: Listening to guest feedback and addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Seeking opportunities to improve service and guest satisfaction.
