Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant, assisting them with seating arrangements, and escorting them to their tables. Taking Orders: Taking food and beverage orders from guests, accurately recording their preferences, special requests, and dietary restrictions, and conveying orders to the kitchen staff or bartender. Menu Knowledge: Having a thorough understanding of the menu, including descriptions of dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods, and being able to answer questions and make recommendations to guests. Serving Food and Drinks: Delivering food and beverages to guests' tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring that orders are served correctly and according to the guests' preferences. Table Maintenance: Checking back with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the meal, refilling drinks, clearing empty plates and glasses, and resetting tables for the next guests. Upselling and Promotion: Suggesting additional menu items, specials, or promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase sales. Handling Payments: Presenting the bill to guests, processing payments accurately and efficiently, and providing change or processing credit card transactions as needed. Handling Guest Concerns: Addressing any complaints or concerns raised by guests with professionalism and empathy, and taking appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth and efficient service, communicating any special requests or modifications to orders, and coordinating the timing of courses. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the dining area clean and tidy throughout service, including wiping down tables, chairs, and menus, and ensuring that the restaurant meets hygiene and sanitation standards. Product Knowledge: Staying informed about the restaurant's offerings, including food and beverage specials, promotions, and events, and effectively communicating this information to guests. Following Procedures: Adhering to restaurant policies and procedures, including uniform standards, hygiene practices, and safety protocols, to maintain a professional and organized work environment. Customer Engagement: Building rapport with guests by providing friendly and attentive service, engaging in conversation, and anticipating their needs to create a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
