Job description

Customer Service: Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with seating arrangements. Providing menus, explaining menu items, and making recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or modifications are communicated to the kitchen staff. Order Fulfillment: Submitting orders to the kitchen or bar and monitoring their preparation. Serving food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Checking back with customers to ensure satisfaction with their meals and addressing any issues or concerns. Table Maintenance: Setting tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments before guests arrive. Clearing tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils throughout the meal and resetting tables for the next guests. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas, including tidying up spills and ensuring tables are clean and presentable. Payment Processing: Presenting bills to customers, processing payments accurately, and handling cash, credit cards, or electronic payments securely. Providing receipts and thanking customers for their patronage, inviting them to return. Upselling and Promotion: Recommending additional items such as desserts, appetizers, or beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Promoting special menu items, promotions, or events to encourage customer participation and satisfaction. Knowledge of Menu and Ingredients: Having a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information. Answering questions from customers about menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques accurately and confidently. Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure efficient service and smooth operations. Communicating effectively with colleagues to coordinate orders, prioritize tasks, and maintain a cohesive team environment. Customer Relations: Building rapport with guests, anticipating their needs, and providing personalized service to enhance their dining experience. Handling customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly, seeking resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food, sanitation practices, and cleanliness in dining areas. Following health and safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, or incidents in the workplace.
