Greeting and Seating Guests: Warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and presenting menus. Assisting guests with seating arrangements and accommodating special requests. Taking Orders: Providing detailed explanations of menu items, including specials and recommendations. Taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring customization based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Serving Food and Beverages: Delivering orders promptly and accurately to tables, ensuring correct presentation and temperature. Providing condiments, utensils, and other requested items promptly. Maintaining Table Appearance: Monitoring tables throughout the dining experience to anticipate needs and replenish items such as water, bread, and utensils. Clearing dishes and resetting tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart. Handling Payments: Presenting and explaining bills to guests, processing payments accurately, and handling cash or credit card transactions. Reconciling receipts and ensuring proper documentation of sales. Customer Service: Addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Anticipating and exceeding guest expectations to enhance overall dining satisfaction. Skills and Qualifications: Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in taking orders, delivering food, and handling payments.
