Assisting with seating arrangements to accommodate guest preferences and group sizes. Taking Orders: Taking food and beverage orders accurately and promptly from guests. Answering questions about menu items, ingredients, and any specials or promotions. Noting any special requests or dietary restrictions. Serving Food and Beverages: Delivering ordered food and beverages to guests' tables in a timely manner. Ensuring accuracy in food presentation and checking orders before serving to verify correctness. Upselling and Recommending: Suggesting appetizers, entrees, desserts, and beverages based on guest preferences and restaurant offerings. Upselling additional menu items or specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Table Maintenance: Monitoring tables throughout the dining experience to anticipate guest needs. Clearing empty plates, utensils, and glassware promptly. Replacing utensils and ensuring tables are clean and presentable. Handling Payments: Presenting bills to guests, processing payments, and handling cash, credit card, or digital transactions accurately. Thanking guests and providing receipts or change as needed. Customer Interaction: Interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously. Resolving guest complaints or issues with empathy and efficiency. Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure seamless coordination of service. Conveying guest orders and updates clearly to ensure accurate preparation and delivery. Knowledge of Menu and Specials: Having a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials. Staying informed about menu changes and promotions. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping work areas, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized. Assisting with general restaurant cleaning tasks as needed, including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and restocking supplies. Adhering to Service Standards: Following restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards to maintain consistency in service quality. Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining environment. Professionalism and Appearance: Presenting a neat and professional appearance with a clean uniform and grooming standards. Maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor with guests and colleagues at all times.
