Greeting Customers: You warmly welcome guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. You may also inform them of any specials or promotions. Taking Orders: You attentively listen to customers' requests, answer questions about the menu, and take their orders accurately. You may also provide recommendations based on their preferences. Serving Food and Beverages: You deliver orders to the kitchen and bar, ensuring timely service. Once ready, you present food and drinks to customers, ensuring that each order is complete and accurately prepared. Table Maintenance: Throughout the meal, you check on customers to ensure their satisfaction, refill drinks, and clear empty plates and glasses. You also reset tables for the next guests. Handling Payments: You present bills to customers, process payments accurately, and provide change or process credit card transactions. You may also offer assistance with splitting bills or processing special requests. Handling Customer Inquiries and Complaints: You address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management if necessary. You aim to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction and ensure a positive experience. Knowledge of Menu and Specials: You have a good understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions. You stay informed about daily specials, promotions, and any changes to the menu. Upselling and Promotion: You actively promote menu items, specials, and additional services such as desserts, appetizers, or wine pairings. You use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintaining Cleanliness: You keep your work area clean and organized, including tables, trays, and service stations. You also assist with general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, and restocking supplies. Teamwork: You collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure efficient service and a seamless dining experience. You communicate effectively with team members and support each other to meet customer needs.
