Greeting Guests: Welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and providing menus. Taking Orders: Taking food and beverage orders from guests, accurately recording their preferences, special requests, and any dietary restrictions. Serving Food and Drinks: Delivering food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring correct presentation and temperature. Knowledge of Menu Items: Having a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, and being able to make recommendations to guests based on their preferences. Upselling and Recommending: Upselling additional menu items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverages, and recommending wine or other pairings to enhance the dining experience. Checking Back: Checking back with guests after serving their meals to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and offer additional assistance. Handling Payments: Presenting bills to guests, processing payments accurately, and handling cash, credit cards, or other forms of payment securely. Maintaining Cleanliness: Clearing tables, resetting them for the next guests, and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area. Assisting with Special Requests: Accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions, such as modifying dishes, providing allergen information, or arranging for special celebrations. Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth coordination of orders and timely service. Knowledge of Service Standards: Adhering to service standards and procedures, such as sequence of service, pacing of meals, and proper tableside etiquette. Customer Engagement: Building rapport with guests, engaging in friendly conversation, and anticipating their needs to provide personalized service and enhance their overall dining experience. Problem Resolution: Addressing any issues or complaints from guests promptly and professionally, seeking solutions and ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintaining Professionalism: Maintaining a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times, representing the establishment positively and upholding its reputation for quality service.
