Job description

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience. Order Taking and Serving: Taking accurate orders from customers, communicating these orders to the kitchen or bar, and serving food and beverages promptly and correctly. Menu Knowledge: Having a good understanding of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer customer questions and make recommendations. Upselling and Recommending: Suggesting additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Handling Payments: Processing payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, or electronic payments, and returning change or receipts promptly. Table Maintenance: Ensuring tables are set up properly before service, clearing dishes and utensils between courses, and resetting tables for the next guests. Teamwork: Collaborating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure efficient service and a smooth dining experience for customers. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining areas, including cleaning tables, chairs, and floors as needed. Problem Solving: Addressing customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management if necessary. Compliance: Adhering to restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, and following alcohol service guidelines if applicable.
