Job description

Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcoming customers as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and providing menus. Taking Orders: Recording guests' food and beverage orders accurately and conveying special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen or bar. Serving Food and Beverages: Delivering orders to tables promptly and ensuring the correct items are served. Providing recommendations if requested. Knowledge of Menu: Familiarity with the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer customer questions and make suggestions. Upselling and Specials: Promoting special menu items, drinks, or desserts to increase sales and enhance the guest experience. Ensuring Guest Satisfaction: Checking back with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and addressing any issues promptly and professionally. Handling Payments: Presenting bills, processing payments accurately (cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms), and returning change or receipts promptly. Table Maintenance: Clearing and resetting tables efficiently for the next guests. Ensuring tables are clean, utensils are replaced, and condiments are replenished. Team Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth operation and timely service. Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Following hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper handling of food and beverages, to maintain a safe dining environment. Customer Interaction: Building rapport with customers, addressing inquiries, and accommodating special requests to enhance their dining experience. Multi-tasking: Managing multiple tables simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively, and maintaining composure during busy periods.
