Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment they enter the restaurant. Taking Orders: Politely and efficiently take guests' food and beverage orders, accurately recording their preferences and any special requests, and providing recommendations or explanations about menu items as needed. Serving Food and Drinks: Deliver orders to guests' tables promptly and accurately, ensuring that each dish is presented attractively and that any special instructions or dietary requirements are followed. Table Maintenance: Monitor guests' needs throughout their meal, clearing empty plates and glasses, replenishing utensils and condiments, and ensuring that tables are clean and properly set for each new guest. Providing Assistance: Assist guests with any additional requests or inquiries they may have, such as adjusting seating arrangements, providing high chairs or booster seats for children, or accommodating special dietary restrictions. Upselling and Recommending: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverage pairings to enhance guests' dining experience and increase sales, using knowledge of the menu and guests' preferences to make relevant suggestions. Handling Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately and efficiently, and provide receipts, thanking guests for their patronage and inviting them to return. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep work areas, including dining areas, service stations, and restrooms, clean and tidy at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a pleasant environment for guests. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other restaurant team members to coordinate orders, communicate special requests, and ensure smooth service flow throughout the dining experience. Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner, anticipating their needs, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and courteously, and striving to exceed their expectations for service quality and hospitality. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, maintaining a thorough understanding of the restaurant's offerings to provide accurate and helpful information to guests. Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve service skills, product knowledge, and job performance, and seek opportunities for growth and advancement within the hospitality industry.
