Job description

Greeting and seating guests: Welcoming guests as they arrive, assisting them with seating arrangements, and escorting them to their tables. Taking orders: Politely and attentively taking food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and noting any special requests or dietary restrictions. Knowledge of the menu: Having a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations, to assist guests with their selections and answer any questions they may have. Serving food and drinks: Delivering orders to tables in a timely manner, ensuring that each dish is presented correctly and matches the guest's order, and serving beverages such as water, wine, and cocktails as requested. Check-backs: Checking back with guests after serving their meals to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns or requests, and refill drinks as needed. Clearing tables: Removing empty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables once guests have finished their meals, and resetting tables for the next guests. Upselling and suggestive selling: Recommending additional menu items, specials, or upgrades to enhance the dining experience and increase sales, while being attentive to the guest's preferences and budget. Handling payments: Presenting bills to guests, processing payments accurately and efficiently, and providing change or processing credit card transactions as needed. Teamwork: Collaborating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other members of the restaurant team to ensure smooth service and a positive overall dining experience for guests. Cleanliness and organization: Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area, including wiping down tables, arranging seating, and ensuring that condiments and utensils are well-stocked and orderly.
