Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and providing menus. Assisting guests with seating arrangements and accommodating special requests. Taking Orders: Presenting menus and describing menu items, specials, and promotions. Taking accurate food and beverage orders from guests and entering them into the POS (Point of Sale) system. Food and Beverage Service: Serving food and beverages to guests according to established standards and procedures. Ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately to the correct table. Knowledge of Menu and Specials: Having a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens. Recommending menu items based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Customer Interaction and Satisfaction: Providing attentive and personalized service to meet guests' needs and exceed their expectations. Checking in with guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Upselling and Cross-selling: Suggesting additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or beverages to enhance the dining experience. Promoting specials or menu items to increase sales and revenue. Table Maintenance and Cleanliness: Clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests depart. Ensuring tables are clean, organized, and properly set with utensils, napkins, and condiments. Handling Payments: Presenting bills to guests, processing payments accurately, and handling cash transactions. Providing receipts and thanking guests for their patronage. Team Collaboration: Communicating effectively with kitchen staff and other servers to coordinate order timing and ensure smooth service flow. Assisting colleagues during busy periods or with tasks such as refilling drinks or delivering food. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Following hygiene and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment. Handling food and beverages with care to prevent contamination or spillage.
