UPVC Fabricator Job in Palakkad

Palakkad, Kerala Full Time Date: 12 April 2024

Job description

Design and Planning: The fabrication process begins with the design phase, where engineers and designers create detailed plans and specifications for the UPVC products. This involves considering factors such as dimensions, configurations, hardware requirements, and customer preferences. Profile Cutting: UPVC profiles, which are typically supplied in standard lengths or extrusions, are cut to the required lengths and angles using specialized cutting equipment such as saws or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) cutting machines. Precision cutting ensures accurate dimensions for assembly. Machining: Machining operations may be performed on the UPVC profiles to create grooves, slots, holes, or other features for hardware installation, drainage, or ventilation. CNC machining allows for precise and repeatable machining operations to achieve tight tolerances and exact specifications. Welding: UPVC profiles are welded together at the corners using specialized welding machines. Heat and pressure are applied to fuse the profiles together, creating strong and seamless joints. Welding ensures structural integrity and weather resistance of the assembled frames. Reinforcement Insertion: Metal or fiberglass reinforcement may be inserted into the hollow chambers of the UPVC profiles to enhance their strength and rigidity. Reinforcement helps to prevent warping, bending, or sagging of the frames, especially in large or heavy windows and doors. Hardware Installation: Hardware components such as hinges, locks, handles, and weather seals are installed onto the UPVC frames. This may involve drilling holes, routing grooves, or attaching hardware using screws, bolts, or adhesive bonding. Glazing: Glass panes or glazing units are installed into the prepared openings in the UPVC frames. This may involve applying glazing gaskets, sealants, or tapes to create a watertight and airtight seal between the glass and the frame. Finishing: UPVC frames may undergo finishing processes to improve their appearance, durability, and weather resistance. This may include cleaning, deburring, chamfering, or applying surface treatments such as lamination, painting, or foiling. Quality Control: Throughout the fabrication process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure that the finished products meet the specified requirements and standards. This may involve inspections, measurements, and testing of the fabricated frames for dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and performance. Packaging and Shipping: Once fabrication is complete and quality control checks are passed, the finished UPVC products are packaged and prepared for shipping to the customer or installation site. Proper packaging ensures that the products are protected during transit and arrive safely at their destination.
