Tyre Retreading Job in Pathanamthitta

Pathanamthitta, Kerala Full Time Date: 05 April 2024

Job description

Initial Inspection: The tyre undergoes a thorough inspection to assess its condition and suitability for retreading. This inspection involves checking for damages, punctures, and the overall structural integrity of the tyre. Buffing: The old tread is removed from the tyre's surface using a buffing machine. This process smoothens the surface and prepares it for the application of new tread. Repair and Reinforcement: Any damages or punctures found during the initial inspection are repaired, and the tyre is reinforced if necessary. This step ensures that the tyre is in optimal condition before applying the new tread. Application of New Tread: A layer of new rubber tread is applied to the buffed surface of the tyre using specialized equipment. The new tread is selected based on the intended use of the tyre and is bonded to the tyre through a vulcanization process. Vulcanization: The tyre is placed in a curing chamber or autoclave, where heat and pressure are applied to bond the new tread to the tyre's surface. This vulcanization process ensures a strong and durable bond between the tread and the tyre casing. Final Inspection: Once the vulcanization process is complete, the retreaded tyre undergoes a final inspection to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards. This inspection includes checking for proper tread alignment, bonding strength, and overall integrity. Trimming and Finishing: Excess rubber is trimmed from the edges of the newly retreaded tyre, and any final adjustments are made to ensure uniformity and balance. Quality Assurance: Retreaded tyres are subjected to quality control checks to verify that they meet industry standards and performance requirements. This may involve testing the tyres under simulated driving conditions to assess their performance and durability.
