Job description

Tyre Retreading Process: Initial Inspection: The old tire casing is carefully inspected for signs of damage, wear, and suitability for retreading. Casings that meet quality standards are selected for the retreading process. Buffing: The old tread is removed from the tire casing using specialized buffing equipment. This process smooths the surface of the casing and prepares it for the application of a new tread. Skiving: Any remaining remnants of the old tread and other imperfections are removed from the casing using a skiving tool, ensuring a clean and smooth surface for the new tread. Application of New Tread: A new tread compound is applied to the buffed and skived tire casing using a process called hot or cold retreading. In hot retreading, the new tread is bonded to the casing using heat and pressure, while in cold retreading, adhesives are used to bond the tread to the casing without heat. Curing: The tire casing with the new tread is placed in a curing chamber or autoclave, where it undergoes heat and pressure treatment to bond the new tread to the casing and cure the tread compound. This ensures a strong and durable bond between the tread and casing. Final Inspection: Once the curing process is complete, the retreaded tire undergoes a final inspection to ensure quality and safety standards are met. This includes checking for proper tread depth, uniformity, adhesion, and any defects that may affect performance. Finishing Touches: After passing inspection, the retreaded tire may undergo additional finishing touches, such as buffing the tread surface, applying sidewall markings, and installing valve stems and balance weights.
