Tyre Retreading Job in Kasargod

Kasargod, Kerala Full Time Date: 03 May 2024

Job description

Initial Inspection: Begin by inspecting worn-out tyres to assess their condition and suitability for retreading. Identify any damage, wear patterns, or defects that may affect the retreading process or the safety of the tyre. Buffing: Prepare the tyre surface for retreading by buffing or grinding away the old tread rubber using specialised machinery. This process removes the worn tread and creates a rough surface for bonding the new tread rubber. Repairing: Inspect the tyre casing for any damage or punctures that need repair before retreading. Patch and repair any injuries to the tyre structure using appropriate repair materials and techniques. Building: Apply new tread rubber to the buffed tyre casing using a retreading machine. Build up the tread layer by layer, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion of the new tread to the casing. Curing: Place the retreaded tyre into a curing chamber or autoclave to bond the new tread rubber to the casing. Apply heat and pressure to the tyre to vulcanize the tread rubber and create a strong bond with the casing. Final Inspection: Inspect the retreaded tyre for quality and adherence to retreading standards. Check the tread depth, alignment, and overall condition of the tyre to ensure it meets safety requirements and performance standards. Trimming: Trim excess rubber from the retreaded tyre to achieve the desired tread pattern and appearance. Ensure that the finished tyre has a smooth and uniform tread surface with no protrusions or irregularities. Testing: Conduct quality control tests on retreaded tyres to verify their performance and durability. Test the tyre's integrity, tread adhesion, and overall quality to ensure it meets industry standards and customer expectations. Packaging and Distribution: Package retreaded tyres for shipment or delivery to customers. Label tyres with relevant information such as size, tread pattern, and retread specifications. Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery to customers. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of retreading processes, including inspection reports, repair records, and production logs. Keep detailed records of each retreaded tyre, including its history, specifications, and quality control test results.
