Tyre Retreading Job in Idukki

Idukki, Kerala Full Time Date: 22 April 2024

Job description

Initial Inspection: The worn-out tire undergoes a thorough inspection to assess its overall condition and determine its suitability for retreading. Tires with significant damage or structural issues may not be suitable for retreading. Buffing: The old tread and any surface contaminants are removed from the tire's casing using a buffing machine. This process scuffs the surface of the tire to create a rough texture for better adhesion of the new tread. Repairing: Any damage or defects in the tire's casing, such as punctures or cuts, are repaired to ensure the structural integrity of the tire. This may involve patching or filling damaged areas with specialized repair materials. Application of New Tread: A layer of uncured rubber tread compound is applied to the buffed surface of the tire using a tread building machine. The tread pattern and thickness can be customized based on the intended use of the tire. Curing: The tire is placed in a curing chamber or mold, where heat and pressure are applied to bond the new tread to the tire casing. This process vulcanizes the rubber compound, creating a strong and durable bond between the tread and casing. Final Inspection: The retreaded tire undergoes a final inspection to ensure that the new tread is properly bonded, the tire is balanced, and all repairs are secure. Tires that meet quality standards are labeled and prepared for sale or installation. Benefits of Tyre Retreading:
