Visually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition. Perform various shop duties as assigned. Receive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc. Maintain a safe facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free. You may retread used tires manually or using specialized equipment. You may also tread on new tire inventories. After retreading, you inspect the interior of the casing, perform repairs or replacements, and conduct pressure tests and other safety checks. Your job may also involve curing retreaded tires.
