Job description

Tire Installation: Fitting new tires onto vehicle rims, ensuring proper alignment and seating of the tire beads to prevent air leakage and maintain safety. Tire Removal: Removing old or damaged tires from vehicle rims using specialized tools and equipment, such as tire changers and bead breakers, while ensuring minimal damage to the rims. Tire Repair: Inspecting tires for damage, such as punctures, cuts, or sidewall damage, and performing repairs as needed, including patching punctures and plugging leaks to restore tire integrity. Tire Balancing: Balancing tires using a wheel balancer machine to evenly distribute weight around the tire and rim assembly, reducing vibrations and ensuring smooth vehicle operation. Tire Rotation: Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tire wear and extend tire life, following recommended rotation patterns based on vehicle type, tire type, and driving conditions. Wheel Alignment: Checking and adjusting wheel alignment to ensure that all wheels are properly aligned according to manufacturer specifications, reducing tire wear, improving fuel efficiency, and enhancing vehicle handling. Tire Inflation: Inflating tires to the recommended air pressure levels specified by the vehicle manufacturer or tire manufacturer, using calibrated air pressure gauges and air compressors. Customer Service: Interacting with customers to understand their tire needs, providing recommendations on tire selection, maintenance, and repair options, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines for tire installation and maintenance, including proper handling of tires, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to workplace safety protocols. Technical Knowledge: Possessing a strong understanding of tire types, sizes, tread patterns, and load ratings, as well as knowledge of vehicle specifications and compatibility requirements for tires. Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail when fitting, repairing, or inspecting tires to identify any defects, irregularities, or safety hazards that may affect tire performance or vehicle operation. Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrating problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues related to tire installation, repair, or maintenance and finding effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
