Job description

Tire Installation: Remove old or damaged tires from vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Mount new tires onto wheels, ensuring proper alignment and fitment. Inflate tires to the manufacturer's recommended pressure levels using air compressors or tire inflation devices. Install valve stems and secure them to the wheels to maintain tire pressure. Tire Repair: Inspect tires for damage, such as punctures, cuts, or sidewall bulges. Determine if tires can be safely repaired or if replacement is necessary based on industry guidelines and safety standards. Perform tire repairs, such as patching punctures, plugging leaks, or sealing minor damage using specialized tools and materials. Balance repaired tires using wheel balancing equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent vibrations. Tire Maintenance: Rotate tires at regular intervals to promote even wear and extend tire life. Check tire tread depth using tread depth gauges and recommend tire replacements when tread wear exceeds safe limits. Perform tire inspections for signs of uneven wear, alignment issues, or other abnormalities that may affect tire performance. Advise customers on proper tire care and maintenance practices to maximize tire longevity and performance. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their tire-related concerns and inquiries. Provide recommendations on tire selection, based on factors such as vehicle type, driving conditions, and budget. Explain tire warranties, guarantees, and service options to customers, assisting them in making informed decisions about their tire purchases and maintenance needs. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tire fitting and repair equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance. Clean and organize work areas, including tire fitting bays, tire storage areas, and equipment storage areas, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management and assist in resolving issues promptly. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when handling tires, including proper lifting techniques, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of equipment. Dispose of old or damaged tires in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies to minimize environmental impact.
