Job description

Tyre Inspection: Inspect tyres for signs of wear, damage, or punctures. Assess tyre condition, tread depth, and sidewall integrity to determine if replacement is necessary. Tyre Selection: Recommend appropriate tyres based on vehicle specifications, driving conditions, and customer preferences. Advise customers on tyre brands, sizes, and tread patterns that best suit their needs and budget. Wheel Removal: Remove wheels from vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Safely lift vehicles using hydraulic jacks or lifts to access the tyres for replacement. Tyre Mounting: Mount new tyres onto wheel rims using tyre mounting machines. Ensure proper alignment of the tyre bead with the rim to prevent air leakage and ensure a secure fit. Balancing: Balance mounted tyres using wheel balancing machines to eliminate vibrations and ensure smooth vehicle operation. Add or remove wheel weights as needed to achieve proper balance. Valve Replacement: Replace tyre valves as necessary to maintain air tightness and prevent air leaks. Install new valve stems and valve cores, and ensure proper sealing with valve caps. Inflation: Inflate tyres to the recommended air pressure using air compressors or tyre inflators. Follow manufacturer specifications and industry standards to ensure optimal tyre performance and longevity. Wheel Installation: Reinstall wheels onto vehicles, ensuring proper torque specifications are followed to prevent wheel loosening or damage. Use torque wrenches to tighten wheel nuts or bolts to the required specifications. Alignment Check: Perform basic alignment checks to ensure wheels are properly aligned after tyre fitting. Advise customers on the importance of wheel alignment and recommend alignment services if necessary. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, offering professional advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction with tyre fitting services. Educate customers on tyre maintenance, safety practices, and warranty information. Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the tyre fitting area. Clean and inspect tools, equipment, and workspaces regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses when handling tyres and operating machinery.
