Job description

Tire Installation: Fitting new tires onto rims and mounting them onto vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. This may involve removing old tires, inspecting rims for damage, and ensuring proper fitment of new tires. Tire Balancing: Balancing tires to ensure uniform distribution of weight around the wheel and minimize vibration while driving. This process involves attaching wheel weights to correct any imbalance detected during balancing. Wheel Alignment: Performing wheel alignment procedures to adjust the angles of the wheels relative to each other and the vehicle's frame. This helps optimize vehicle handling, tire wear, and fuel efficiency. Tire Repair: Inspecting tires for damage, such as punctures, cuts, or tread wear, and determining the appropriate repair method. This may involve patching, plugging, or patch-plug combination repairs to restore tire integrity. Tire Maintenance: Checking tire pressure, tread depth, and overall condition to ensure that tires are safe and roadworthy. Inflating tires to the recommended pressure and rotating them periodically to promote even wear. Customer Service: Interacting with customers to understand their tire needs, recommend suitable products or services, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating tire fitting and balancing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Performing routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments as needed to keep equipment in optimal condition. Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment or vehicles. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and observing safety procedures when working with tires and heavy equipment. Product Knowledge: Staying informed about tire brands, models, sizes, and specifications to assist customers in selecting the most suitable tires for their vehicles. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to tire fitting and maintenance. Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues and team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery. Communicating effectively with other departments, such as sales, service, and parts, to meet customer needs and expectations. Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties, such as recording work performed, documenting customer transactions, and maintaining accurate records of tire inventory and service history.
