You should be knowledgeable about the flavor profiles, origins, and brewing methods of each type of tea. Brewing Techniques: Mastering the art of brewing tea using various methods such as steeping, boiling, and infusing, depending on the type of tea and customer preferences. You should be skilled in controlling water temperature, steeping time, and tea-to-water ratio to achieve the desired strength and flavor. Water Quality: Using high-quality filtered water or spring water for brewing tea to enhance its flavor and clarity. You should pay attention to water temperature and avoid over-boiling water, which can affect the taste and aroma of the tea. Tea Accessories: Utilizing appropriate tea accessories such as teapots, tea infusers, tea strainers, and tea cups to enhance the tea-drinking experience and ensure proper brewing and serving of tea. Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their tea preferences, recommending teas based on their taste preferences, mood, or health benefits, and providing personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction. Customization: Offering customization options for customers, such as adjusting brewing time, adding milk, honey, or sweeteners, or creating custom tea blends based on customer preferences. Presentation: Presenting tea in aesthetically pleasing ways, such as using decorative teapots or serving trays, garnishing with fresh herbs or fruit slices, and serving with accompaniments like biscuits or pastries. Knowledge of Tea Culture: Having a deep understanding of tea culture, traditions, and rituals from different regions and countries, and sharing this knowledge with customers to enrich their tea-drinking experience. Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and freshness of tea leaves by properly storing them in airtight containers away from moisture, light, and strong odors. You should also regularly inspect tea leaves for freshness and discard any expired or stale products. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the tea preparation area, including cleaning and sanitizing tea utensils, equipment, and serving vessels, and following food safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
