Job description

Preparation of Tandoor: Ensuring that the tandoor oven is properly prepared before use. This may involve heating the tandoor to the appropriate temperature, usually by burning charcoal or wood inside the oven. Marinating and Skewering: Preparing meats, such as chicken, lamb, or fish, by marinating them in a mixture of spices, yogurt, and other seasonings. Skewering the marinated meats onto long metal skewers, which are then placed inside the tandoor for cooking. Bread Making: Making various types of bread, such as naan, kulcha, or tandoori roti, by stretching and shaping the dough and then sticking it onto the inner wall of the tandoor oven using a special tool called a gaddi. Monitoring Cooking: Monitoring the cooking process closely to ensure that meats are cooked evenly and bread is baked to perfection. This may involve periodically rotating skewers or bread to ensure even cooking and prevent burning. Temperature Control: Regulating the temperature of the tandoor oven by adjusting the airflow or adding fuel as needed to maintain the desired level of heat for cooking. Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning the tandoor oven regularly to remove ash, soot, and food residue. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing cracks in the clay or replacing worn-out parts to ensure the oven functions properly. Safety: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries while operating the tandoor oven, such as using protective gear and handling hot utensils with care.
