Job description

Construction: Build tandoors from scratch using clay, sand, water, and other materials, following traditional techniques and designs to ensure authenticity and functionality. Clay Preparation: Prepare the clay mixture for tandoor construction, including mixing and kneading clay with sand and water to achieve the right consistency and texture for molding and shaping. Molding and Shaping: Mold and shape the clay mixture into the cylindrical shape of the tandoor, using traditional methods and tools to create a sturdy and well-insulated structure. Firing: Fire the constructed tandoor in a kiln or oven to harden the clay and strengthen the structure, ensuring that it can withstand high temperatures during cooking without cracking or crumbling. Installation: Install the tandoor in the desired location, such as a restaurant kitchen or outdoor cooking area, ensuring proper placement and stability. Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tandoors to ensure they remain in good condition, including repairing any cracks or damages, cleaning and scrubbing the interior, and replacing worn-out parts as needed. Temperature Control: Monitor and control the temperature inside the tandoor during cooking by adjusting the airflow and adding fuel (such as charcoal or wood) to maintain the desired level of heat. Cooking Assistance: Assist chefs and cooks in using the tandoor for cooking various dishes, including inserting and removing food items, monitoring cooking times, and ensuring that dishes are cooked evenly and to perfection. Safety Procedures: Follow safety procedures and guidelines for operating tandoors, including wearing protective gear (such as gloves and aprons) and ensuring that the cooking area is well-ventilated to prevent smoke accumulation. Training and Education: Provide training and education to kitchen staff on the proper use and maintenance of tandoors, as well as techniques for cooking dishes using tandoor ovens. Customer Service: Interact with customers and guests to answer questions about tandoor cooking and provide recommendations on dishes prepared using tandoor ovens.
