Constructing Tandoors: Building tandoors from clay, which involves shaping the clay into the traditional cylindrical shape and constructing the inner lining and outer casing. Ensuring the tandoor is structurally sound, well-insulated, and capable of withstanding high temperatures during cooking. Firing and Curing: Firing the newly constructed tandoor to harden the clay and prepare it for cooking. Curing the tandoor by gradually increasing and decreasing temperatures to strengthen the clay and prevent cracking. Maintaining and Repairing Tandoors: Conducting regular maintenance of tandoors, including cleaning, inspecting for cracks or damage, and applying protective coatings to extend their lifespan. Repairing tandoors as needed, such as patching cracks, replacing worn-out parts, or reapplying insulation. Customization and Design: Customizing tandoors based on client specifications, including size, shape, and additional features. Incorporating decorative elements or enhancements while maintaining the functionality and efficiency of the tandoor. Training and Consulting: Providing training to restaurant staff or chefs on proper tandoor usage, maintenance, and safety protocols. Consulting with restaurants or businesses on tandoor placement, ventilation, and integration into kitchen operations. Skills and Qualifications: Craftsmanship: Proficiency in clay work and craftsmanship to construct and shape tandoors. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of tandoor construction principles, insulation techniques, and firing processes. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair tandoors, addressing issues related to heat distribution, insulation, and structural integrity.
