Tandoor Oven Operation: Operate the tandoor oven efficiently and safely, ensuring that it reaches and maintains the appropriate cooking temperature for the dishes being prepared. Monitor the heat levels and adjust the fire as needed to achieve the desired cooking results. Food Preparation: Prepare marinated meats, seafood, vegetables, and bread dough for cooking in the tandoor oven. Skewer the ingredients onto metal skewers or place them directly onto the inner walls of the tandoor for cooking. Grilling and Roasting: Grill meats and seafood in the tandoor oven, imparting a smoky flavor and tender texture to the dishes. Roast vegetables and bread in the tandoor, creating charred edges and a distinctive aroma. Bread Making: Prepare and bake various types of bread in the tandoor oven, including naan, roti, kulcha, and tandoori roti. Stretch and shape the dough, then slap it onto the inner walls of the tandoor to cook until puffed and golden brown. Tandoori Specialties: Prepare specialty dishes such as tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, seekh kebabs, tandoori fish, and paneer tikka, marinating the ingredients in a blend of spices, yogurt, and lemon juice before cooking them in the tandoor. Maintaining the Tandoor: Clean and maintain the tandoor oven regularly to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Remove ash and debris from the bottom of the oven, scrub the inner walls to remove any residue, and repair or replace any damaged parts as needed. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety standards and hygiene practices while handling, cooking, and serving food from the tandoor oven. Use appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and aprons, to prevent burns and injuries. Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
