Using high-quality clay and materials to ensure durability and heat retention. Firing and Curing: Preparing newly constructed Tandoors for use by firing them at high temperatures to cure the clay and strengthen the structure. Gradually increasing the temperature over several days to prevent cracking and ensure proper curing. Maintenance and Repair: Performing regular maintenance and repairs on Tandoors to keep them in optimal condition. Patching cracks, replacing worn-out parts such as clay liners or metal bands, and resealing joints as needed to prevent heat loss and ensure safety. Temperature Control: Monitoring and controlling the temperature inside the Tandoor during the cooking process to achieve the desired level of heat for different dishes. Adjusting airflow and adding fuel, such as charcoal or wood, to maintain a consistent temperature. Cooking Techniques: Mastering the techniques of cooking various foods in the Tandoor, including bread (such as naan and roti), meats (such as tandoori chicken and kebabs), and vegetables (such as paneer tikka and tandoori mushrooms). Understanding the nuances of timing and positioning to ensure even cooking and optimal flavor. Safety Practices: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines when working with Tandoors to prevent accidents and injuries. Using protective gear such as gloves and aprons, and following proper handling procedures for hot surfaces and utensils. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Cleaning the Tandoor thoroughly after each use to remove food residue, ash, and debris. Scrubbing the interior with a brush and water, and periodically applying a food-safe disinfectant to sanitize the surfaces. Customer Service: Providing assistance and guidance to chefs and kitchen staff in using the Tandoor effectively and safely. Offering recommendations and tips for optimizing cooking results and achieving authentic flavors. Problem-solving: Troubleshooting issues with Tandoor operation, such as uneven heating, smoke leakage, or fuel combustion problems. Identifying the root cause of the problem and implementing solutions to resolve it effectively. Creativity and Innovation: Experimenting with new cooking techniques, recipes, and ingredients to expand the culinary possibilities of the Tandoor. Incorporating modern twists and adaptations while preserving the authenticity and heritage of traditional Tandoor cooking.
