Job description

Tandoor Construction: Building tandoors from scratch or assembling pre-made components to create functional clay ovens. Understanding the principles of tandoor design, including the shape, size, and materials used. Clay Preparation: Mixing and preparing clay for tandoor construction, ensuring the right consistency and quality for optimal performance. Adding binding agents such as sand or straw to improve durability and heat retention. Oven Insulation: Applying insulation materials such as ceramic fibers, clay, or ash to the inner walls of the tandoor to enhance heat retention and prevent heat loss. Ensuring that the insulation layer is uniform and properly sealed to maintain consistent cooking temperatures. Brickwork: Laying bricks or tiles to build the outer casing of the tandoor, providing structural support and aesthetic appeal. Ensuring that the bricks are securely bonded and aligned to create a smooth and uniform surface. Firing and Curing: Firing the newly constructed tandoor to cure the clay and strengthen the structure. Gradually increasing the temperature over several sessions to prevent cracking and ensure durability. Maintenance and Repair: Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure that the tandoor is in good working condition. Repairing any cracks, chips, or damages to the clay or insulation layers to prevent heat loss and maintain efficiency. Temperature Control: Understanding how to control and regulate the temperature inside the tandoor for different types of cooking. Adjusting airflow and fuel placement to achieve the desired cooking temperatures for various dishes.
