Student counsellors typically offer career guidance and help primary and secondary students develop career objectives. Their responsibilities include advocating for students in school activities, providing classroom advice, academic mentoring, interacting with teachers and parents and collaborating with administrators. Student counselors work with students, parents, and educators to help the students succeed academically and socially. They provide one-on-one emotional guidance and help students plan for their futures by guiding them in building a career.
