Job description

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking stock quantities, replenishing stock as needed, and conducting regular stock counts or audits to ensure accuracy. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials, verify the contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and inspect items for quality, quantity, and condition. Report any discrepancies or damages to management as needed. Storage and Organization: Ensure that goods are stored in appropriate locations within the store or warehouse, taking into account factors such as size, weight, and storage requirements. Implement efficient storage solutions to maximize space utilization and accessibility. Issuance and Distribution: Process requests for materials or products from internal departments or external customers, accurately picking and packing items for distribution. Maintain proper documentation of goods issued, including recording quantities and destinations. Stock Rotation and Shelf Life Management: Monitor expiration dates and shelf life of perishable or time-sensitive items, implementing first-in, first-out (FIFO) or other rotation methods to minimize waste and ensure product freshness. Order Fulfillment: Prepare orders for shipment or pickup, ensuring that items are packed securely and labeled correctly. Coordinate with shipping carriers or delivery personnel to arrange for timely delivery of orders. Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, including placing orders, negotiating pricing and terms, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise. Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that the store or warehouse is clean, organized, and safe for employees and visitors. Conduct regular inspections of storage areas and equipment, addressing any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to prevent shrinkage, theft, or loss of goods. This may include implementing security measures such as surveillance cameras, access controls, or inventory tracking systems. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and adjustments. Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock movements for management review and decision-making. Training and Supervision: Train and supervise store personnel, including assistants or junior staff members, to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities and perform their duties effectively.
