Job description

Inventory Management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods or materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and conducting regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Receiving and Inspection: Receiving incoming shipments, verifying the contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and documenting any issues or discrepancies. Storage and Organization: Organizing and arranging inventory items in the store or warehouse to optimize space utilization, ensure proper storage conditions, and facilitate easy access and retrieval of items. Stock Rotation: Implementing stock rotation procedures to ensure that older inventory is used or sold before newer stock, minimizing waste and reducing the risk of obsolescence or spoilage. Issuance and Distribution: Processing requests for inventory items from internal departments or customers, picking and packing orders accurately, and arranging for timely delivery or pickup. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of all stock movements, transactions, and adjustments, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers, and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements. Quality Control: Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for quality and compliance with specifications, standards, or regulatory requirements, and ensuring that only approved items are accepted into inventory. Safety and Security: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures within the store or warehouse, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and implementing security measures to prevent theft or damage to inventory. Equipment Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance and inspections of store equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, shelving units, and storage containers, and arranging for repairs or replacements as needed. Supplier Coordination: Communicating with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and returns, resolving issues or discrepancies in a timely manner, and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and inventory turnover rates, analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, or discrepancies, and providing insights to management for decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or efficiency gains in store operations, and implementing best practices and initiatives to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
