Job description

Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods, including quantities, descriptions, and locations within the store. Stock Replenishment: Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders for replenishment as needed to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries: Receiving incoming shipments, verifying the contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and inspecting goods for quality and damage. Storage and Organization: Organizing and arranging items within the store to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access and retrieval. Issuing and Dispatching Goods: Issuing goods to authorized personnel or departments as per requisitions or orders and preparing items for dispatch, including packaging and labeling. Inventory Audits: Conducting periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical stock levels with records, identify discrepancies, and investigate variances. Safety and Security: Ensuring that the store premises, equipment, and inventory are kept secure and compliant with safety regulations to prevent loss, theft, or damage. Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of storage equipment, such as shelves, racks, and forklifts, to ensure they remain in good working condition. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including inventory records, receipts, invoices, and reports. Communication: Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and address any issues related to inventory management. Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges related to inventory management, such as stock shortages, overages, or discrepancies in records. Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail when recording inventory transactions, inspecting goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
