Table Setting and Preparation: Set tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and other necessary tableware before service begins. Ensure that tables are arranged according to seating plans and any special requests from guests. Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, assist them with seating arrangements, and escort them to their tables. Provide menus, inform guests about daily specials, and answer any questions they may have about the menu items. Taking Orders: Take food and beverage orders from guests, accurately record their preferences, and communicate orders to the kitchen or bar staff. Provide recommendations and make suggestions based on guests' preferences. Serving Food and Drinks: Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, following proper serving etiquette and presentation standards. Ensure that orders are complete and accurate before serving them to guests. Assisting Guests: Anticipate guests' needs and offer assistance as needed throughout their dining experience. Refill water glasses, provide additional condiments or utensils, and address any special requests or dietary restrictions promptly. Clearing Tables: Clear tables of dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils between courses and after guests have finished their meals. Remove used napkins and other debris, and reset tables for the next guests. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors, are clean and well-maintained throughout service. Wipe down tables, sanitize surfaces, and sweep or vacuum floors as needed to maintain a tidy environment. Coordinating with Kitchen and Bar Staff: Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate food and beverage service. Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen and ensure that orders are prepared and served correctly. Handling Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and provide change or process credit card transactions. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return before they leave. Resolving Issues: Address any guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Listen attentively to guests' feedback, apologize for any inconvenience, and take appropriate action to resolve the issue and ensure guest satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other stewards, waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and support each other as needed. Hospitality and Customer Service: Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance the guest experience. Build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, and exceed their expectations to ensure a memorable dining experience.
