Job description

Inventory Management: Managing and maintaining accurate records of spare parts inventory levels, including stock quantities, location, and value. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory. Procurement: Identifying and sourcing spare parts from suppliers and vendors. Negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of parts while optimizing costs. Stock Replenishment: Monitoring stock levels and initiating purchase orders or replenishment requests based on inventory forecasts, customer demand, and historical usage patterns. Quality Control: Inspecting incoming spare parts shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Resolving discrepancies or issues with suppliers regarding damaged, incorrect, or defective parts. Storage and Organization: Organizing and maintaining a well-structured storage system for spare parts to facilitate easy retrieval and efficient workflow. Ensuring parts are stored securely and safely to prevent damage or loss. Distribution and Dispatch: Coordinating the distribution and dispatch of spare parts to service technicians, mechanics, or customers as per their requirements and service orders. Ensuring timely delivery and accuracy in order fulfillment. Sales and Customer Service: Assisting customers, service advisors, or technicians in identifying and selecting the appropriate spare parts needed for repairs or maintenance. Providing product information, pricing, and availability to support sales efforts. Documentation and Reporting: Keeping detailed records of spare parts transactions, sales, and inventory movements. Generating reports on inventory levels, sales performance, and stock turnover for management review and decision-making. Vendor Relationship Management: Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. Evaluating supplier performance, resolving issues, and exploring opportunities for cost savings or improved service levels. Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to spare parts management, storage, and handling.
