Cooking Techniques: Mastering the specific cooking techniques used in South Indian cuisine, including tempering (tadka), grinding spices, and fermenting batters (e.g., for dosas and idlis). Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and consistency of dishes by using fresh ingredients, maintaining proper cooking techniques, and adhering to food safety standards. Recipe Development: Experimenting with new recipes or variations of traditional dishes while preserving authenticity and taste. Kitchen Management: Overseeing the kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Team Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation, timing, and service to ensure efficient operations.
