Job description

Curriculum Development: Plan and develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and teaching strategies aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives in social science education. Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment conducive to student participation and interaction. Establish and maintain classroom rules, routines, and procedures to promote respect, collaboration, and academic excellence. Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Use a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and resources, including lectures, discussions, simulations, role-plays, multimedia, and technology tools. Content Knowledge: Teach and reinforce concepts, principles, and theories in various social science disciplines, such as historical events, geographical features, political systems, economic theories, and sociocultural phenomena. Provide clear explanations, examples, and applications to help students understand and analyze social phenomena. Critical Thinking and Inquiry: Foster critical thinking skills through the analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of historical documents, geographic data, political events, economic trends, and sociocultural issues. Encourage students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and consider multiple perspectives. Research and Analysis: Teach research methods, techniques, and skills to enable students to conduct independent inquiries and investigations in social science topics. Guide students in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from primary and secondary sources to support their arguments and conclusions. Civic Engagement and Citizenship: Promote civic awareness, responsibility, and engagement among students by teaching about government structures, political processes, rights and responsibilities, and civic participation.
