Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional activities that align with educational standards and objectives for social science education. Subject Instruction: Teaching various subjects within the social sciences, including history, geography, civics, economics, sociology, anthropology, and political science. Providing instruction on key concepts, theories, events, and phenomena in these disciplines. Critical Thinking: Promoting critical thinking skills by encouraging students to analyze and evaluate historical events, geographical phenomena, societal issues, and political processes. Facilitating discussions and debates to explore diverse perspectives and interpretations. Interdisciplinary Connections: Integrating interdisciplinary approaches into social science instruction by highlighting connections between different disciplines and exploring interdisciplinary themes and topics. Research Skills: Developing students' research skills by teaching them how to conduct research, gather evidence, analyze data, and draw conclusions in the context of social science inquiries and investigations. Cultural Competence: Fostering cultural competence and awareness by exploring diverse cultures, societies, and perspectives within the context of social science education. Incorporating multicultural perspectives and global perspectives into curriculum content and discussions. Geographic Literacy: Enhancing geographic literacy by teaching students about the Earth's physical and human geography, including maps, landscapes, regions, and spatial relationships. Exploring topics such as population distribution, migration patterns, and environmental issues.
