Job description

Recipe Development: Develop recipes or follow existing ones to create a range of snacks, including but not limited to chips, crackers, nuts, popcorn, pretzels, and other savory or sweet treats. Experiment with flavors, textures, and ingredients to create unique and appealing snack options. Ingredient Preparation: Gather and prepare ingredients needed for snack production, including washing, cutting, slicing, and seasoning as necessary. Ensure ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and properly stored to maintain product integrity. Cooking and Baking: Use various cooking techniques such as frying, baking, roasting, or microwaving to prepare snacks according to recipe specifications. Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and equipment to ensure snacks are cooked evenly and to perfection. Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure snacks meet quality and safety standards. Inspect ingredients, monitor cooking processes, and sample finished products for taste, texture, and appearance. Packaging and Presentation: Package snacks in appropriate containers, bags, or packaging materials for storage, display, or sale. Label packages with product information, ingredients, allergen warnings, and expiration dates as required by regulations. Sanitation and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Follow food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and hygiene practices to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure adequate supply for production and sales. Place orders for replenishment as needed and track inventory usage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency. Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and operate kitchen equipment and machinery used in snack production, such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and packaging machines. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep equipment in good working condition. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations, health codes, and industry standards governing food production and manufacturing. Stay updated on regulatory changes, requirements, and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risk. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, or consumers by offering product samples, answering inquiries, and addressing feedback or concerns. Engage with customers to promote snacks, provide product information, and encourage repeat purchases. Marketing and Promotion: Support marketing and promotional efforts by participating in events, tastings, and demonstrations to showcase snacks and attract customers. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, social media content, and advertising campaigns.
