Job description

Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising store staff. Ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand and operational needs. Providing leadership and guidance to motivate and develop team members. Customer Service: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by greeting customers, assisting with inquiries or issues, and resolving complaints effectively. Maintaining a welcoming and customer-friendly environment in the shop. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, ordering merchandise, and managing stock rotation. Implementing inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate stock records. Sales and Promotion: Setting sales targets and goals for the shop. Developing strategies to increase sales, such as promotions, upselling, and cross-selling. Monitoring sales performance and implementing measures to achieve targets. Visual Merchandising: Ensuring attractive product displays and maintaining visual standards in the shop. Arranging merchandise to optimize sales and highlight promotional items effectively. Financial Management: Monitoring and managing the shop's budget and expenses. Analyzing sales figures, profitability, and expenses to maximize revenue and control costs. Reporting financial performance to senior management. Operational Efficiency: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and security protocols. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment. Supplier and Vendor Relations: Liaising with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, place orders, and manage deliveries. Building positive relationships to ensure timely and efficient supply of merchandise. Marketing and Promotion: Implementing marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to attract customers and drive foot traffic. Collaborating with the marketing team to execute local marketing strategies and events. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on sales, inventory, and operational performance.
