Job description

Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity, morale, and customer service. Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and effective allocation of resources. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate staff availability, business demands, and seasonal fluctuations in customer traffic. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track sales trends, and forecast demand to optimize stock levels and minimize out-of-stock situations. Coordinate with suppliers to replenish inventory in a timely manner and negotiate favorable pricing and terms. Visual Merchandising: Oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment. Ensure that displays are visually appealing, well-organized, and effectively showcase products to maximize sales and customer satisfaction. Sales Performance: Set sales targets, goals, and incentives for staff to drive sales performance and meet revenue objectives. Monitor sales metrics, such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and sales per square foot, and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability. Customer Service: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a customer-centric culture within the store. Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively, ensuring positive outcomes and customer satisfaction. Financial Management: Manage the store budget, expenses, and revenue to achieve profitability targets and financial objectives. Monitor sales performance, expenses, and margins closely, and take proactive measures to control costs and maximize profitability. Security and Loss Prevention: Implement security measures and procedures to protect store assets, merchandise, and cash. Train staff on theft prevention techniques, conduct regular inventory audits, and enforce store policies to minimize shrinkage and losses. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines to provide a safe and secure environment for customers and staff. Conduct regular inspections, address any safety hazards or concerns promptly, and enforce safety protocols and procedures. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives to drive foot traffic, increase brand awareness, and stimulate sales. Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to engage customers and promote store offerings. Community Engagement: Build relationships with the local community and neighboring businesses to enhance the store's reputation and visibility. Participate in community events, sponsorships, and charitable activities to strengthen ties and foster goodwill.
