Job description

Store Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandise display to ensure efficient and smooth functioning of the store. Staff Supervision and Training: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate retail staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and other personnel, to provide excellent customer service, meet sales targets, and maintain a positive work environment. Customer Service: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, greeting customers, addressing inquiries and concerns, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Sales and Revenue Generation: Set sales targets and goals for the store and motivate staff to achieve them, monitoring sales performance, analyzing trends, and implementing strategies to increase sales and meet revenue targets. Merchandising and Visual Display: Plan and execute merchandise displays and visual merchandising strategies to showcase products effectively, attract customers' attention, and drive sales, ensuring that the store layout is visually appealing and optimized for sales. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and monitor inventory turnover to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and ensure accurate stock records, collaborating with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage store budgets, monitor expenses, and control costs to maximize profitability, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements while maintaining quality standards. Marketing and Promotions: Plan and implement marketing campaigns, promotions, and events to drive foot traffic, increase brand awareness, and attract new customers, collaborating with marketing teams or agencies as needed. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety standards, security protocols, and legal requirements, to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers. Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, recognizing achievements, addressing performance issues, and identifying opportunities for training and development to improve employee performance and job satisfaction. Problem-solving and Decision-making: Address operational challenges and resolve issues that arise in the store, making timely and effective decisions to ensure smooth operations, minimize disruptions, and meet customer needs. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with staff, customers, suppliers, and management, conveying information clearly and professionally through verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal interactions. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of retail professionals, fostering a positive work culture, promoting teamwork and collaboration, and empowering staff to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities.
