Job description

Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, technicians, service advisors, and administrative staff. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team performs effectively and efficiently. Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly, and resolving any issues that may arise during the repair or servicing process. Workflow Management: Manage the workflow within the shop to ensure that repairs and service jobs are completed in a timely manner. Prioritize work orders, allocate resources effectively, and optimize scheduling to maximize productivity. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality in all repair and maintenance work performed in the shop. Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure that vehicles are repaired correctly and meet safety and performance standards. Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs and servicing. Monitor stock levels, order replenishments as needed, and ensure that inventory is organized and properly accounted for. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the shop's budget, including labor costs, overhead expenses, and inventory expenditures. Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements to optimize profitability. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors of automotive parts, tools, and equipment. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure favorable arrangements for the shop. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace. Implement safety protocols, provide training to staff, and maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue. Generate reports and analyze data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to ensure the shop remains competitive and capable of meeting customer needs.
