Job description

Staff Management: You recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stock clerks. You provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure that employees meet sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service. Visual Merchandising: You oversee the layout and presentation of merchandise in the store to maximize sales and create an attractive shopping environment. This involves organizing displays, signage, and product placements to highlight promotions and seasonal offerings. Inventory Management: You monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and ensure accurate stock counts through regular inventory audits. You reorder merchandise as needed, manage stock rotation, and minimize shrinkage through loss prevention measures. Sales Performance: You set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them, such as implementing promotions, upselling techniques, and cross-selling initiatives. You monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to optimize sales and profitability. Customer Service: You ensure that customers receive excellent service by training staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer interaction skills. You handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations to ensure prompt resolution and maintain customer satisfaction. Financial Management: You manage the store's budget, expenses, and cash flow, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and targets. You oversee cash handling procedures, reconcile daily sales transactions, and prepare financial reports for management review. Marketing and Promotion: You collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute marketing campaigns, events, and promotions to drive foot traffic and increase sales. This may involve creating signage, advertising materials, and digital marketing initiatives to attract customers. Health and Safety: You ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a safe working environment for employees and customers. You implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any hazards or concerns promptly. Vendor Relations: You establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and distributors to ensure timely delivery of merchandise and negotiate favorable terms and pricing. You may also evaluate new suppliers and source alternative products as needed. Administration: You handle administrative tasks related to store operations, such as payroll processing, scheduling, and maintaining personnel records. You also handle paperwork related to inventory management, sales reporting, and compliance documentation.
